By the By
I cannot express how busy this May has/will be. We started the month with the death of a beloved Family friend, Tony. He was a classmate of my Dads and a clase friend. He died at his computer, out of the blue.

On a nicer note, poor Eric had all this vacation time racked up and has to use some, or he would lose it. Solution...we went to Louisville, KY for a few days. We left Alex in IN with his grandparents. We went to Six Flags, Louisville Slugger Museum, Frazier International History Museum, and Churchill Downs. And we did find a bit of time for some shopping :) This was my first time spending any time in Louisville, and we had a good time. I loved the baseball factory...I got to hold Mickey Mantle's bat, although the camera was at the hotel so the pic is on my phone. It was really nice just to get away; we haven't gone anywhere, (other then showers, weddings, ect.), since our Honeymoon.
----------------------------------------------------
Right now I am prepping for two birthday parties, house guests for two weekends, Cards/Cubs game, Aunt and Uncle in town from TX, and a special treat for my Mom. Way too much to do, but will gladly do it :)

Pulling up
No sooner had Alex starting sitting up, he began pulling himself up. He is quite pleased with himself. I think he is getting more teeth. He just had two new teeth on the bottom and is drooling again with a slight runny nose. Hopefully these won't be as painful.
We spent Easter with my family in Butler. Mom insisted I fill eggs for Alex to find. He caught on quickly to pick up the egg and put it in the basket.
He received a lovely Easter basket from his God mother Alison.
The last few days around here have been a bit nutso. Alex started a new Gymboree class on Thursday, the washer quit(mid cycle) on Friday, Eric took apart the washer Friday night, Saturday went washer shopping and purchased one, and today (Sunday) the contents on the laundry room are in my kitchen so I can clean the floor and wait for delivery on Tuesday. Yeah, busy.

I posted this at the request of my Mom.

10 months and Sitting Up
Here is Alex's 10 month picture.
He has recently gained two more teeth on top; one on either side of his two front teeth. This brings the teeth total to 6.
He started sitting up by himself on Tuesday morning, but I was unable to get a pic until Wed. This will be our last week at the noon Wednesday spot at Gymboree. I am going to bump him up the week after Easter. Hopefully I can find another good time for him to be there!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.....
...there are new lambs! We went to the farm on Sunday to see everybody and to see the new little lambs. There is one currently being bottle fed by Larry, so it is somewhat friendly. It would come up to Larry and it liked being petted.
Alex wasn't too sure about petting the lamb at first, but warmed up to him when he found out its fur was soft, like the kitties' fur.
I also got ambitious on Wednesday night and rearranged the furniture in the living room. I had the couch against the window and the chair in the corner and that left quite a bit of unusable space. I moved the couch over to the where the chair was and angled it and then moved the chair to the center. I was afraid the couch wouldn't fit, but I was pleasantly surprised. I did have it flush with the wall, but it looked nicer angled. I now know we could get a sectional couch someday, YAY!!!! Next weekend I am off to Indy for another baby shower, (there must be something in the water!), for Bethie Anderson. I am anxious to see everybody and to see Lisa Lecher's house.

Somthing So Minor
You would think I could be a mature adult about things...but I guess I have my moments:) The monitor on my computer quit, so I have been using the office computer. This has its own set of challenges, due to Eric working at home three days a week. I honestly have not set down at the computer since Thursday afternoon (and I think I was getting a bit panicky). I got a bit whiney with Eric over the monitor, so he is looking at it right now. The odds are in favor of a new one one. I missed being able to check email and facebook. I just felt so out-of-the-loop. With that said, if I am not around much, it is because I still haven't gotten a new monitor and my office time is limited :)
