Boeing Day at the Zoo
Saturday was Boeing Day at the St. Louis Zoo. This "team building" exercise gave Eric's Boeing section a great excuse to play outside.
We had fantastic weather; our first taste of fall temperatures.
The highlight was seeing the new Sea Lion, (not seal), show. Boeing had an entire section just for employees, so we had prime seats.

Zoo
Sunday, we hit the Zoo. I know what you are thinking, "but Sarah, it was 95 degrees on Sunday with a heat index of 105." Damn straight!
Let me clarify, we visited the Zoo first thing in the morning, think 8ish, to take advantage of all the free stuff. Many attractions are free the first hour the Zoo is open. We partook in the stingray exhibit,(plus sharks!), the carousel, and the Children's Zoo. And of course, no St. Louis Zoo trip is complete without visiting the Puffin and Penguin exhibit. It is the only one like it in the world. Click below to see more pics.

Zoo, Gymboree, and a Parade
My folks were here a few days and I finally got Mom to Gymboree. She was sore afterwards :)

We followed that with a trip to the Zoo. This was Alex's first Zoo trip and my Dad will tell you it is his first, although it is really his third time.

After they went home, Alex and I went there for a mini Kraus/Millberg Reunion in Springfield, and the Old Settlers Parade in Hillsboro. I did end up with a free t-shirt at the parade :) Alex also had two first concerts...American English, the Beatles tribute band, and the German band. Two alternating tastes :)
